The Vehicle Security Identifier (VSI-1000) is specifically designed to provide identity verification for vehicle by using smart card and fingerprint technologies. To enhance its features, it is to be integrated with the Global Positioning System (GPS) and Vehicle Data Logger (VDL) viaRS232 serial communication.
