The Pradonet Axess F1000 Electronic Passport Reader is a desktop reader specially designed to read a wide range of passports and electronic identity cards from various countries. It is equipped with optical swipe scanner for improved security of the data transfer as the data is protected against eavesdropping or unauthorized retrieval data during the communication between the reading device and the travel document.

This is desktop electronic passport reader with an integrated OCR (Optical Character Recognition) scanner, designed to read BAC (Basic Access Control)-protected e passport. It complies with international standard, ISO14443A/B, ICAO recommendations and it also recorded an impressive 100% conformity (top rank) in the e-Passport interoperability test event held in Berlin in 2006.
