Ticket Office Machine (TOM) is considered as a point of sales where an operator is stationed to assist passengers. Its
primary purpose is issue Single Journey Ticket (SJT) and Stored Value Ticket (STV). Other purposes of the TOM are
analyzing, upgrading and calculating excess fares on a ticket.

Passengers can purchase or inquire about tickets at the TOM area. Different ticket types are to be encoded over contactless cards or tokens manually by TOM. An operator at the TOM area will select the passenger’s requested ticket type on the touch screen display. The passenger display screen will show the type of ticket selected/purchased and the amount passenger needs to pay.

Money will be collected by the operator and to be placed in a cash drawer. Then, ticket is being encoded over a RFID
desktop ticket encoder. A receipt will be printed out from a thermal printer as a proof of receipt for the passenger.
Passengers can also approached TOM for lost tickets, ticket upgrades, under-fare tickets, refund or replacement of
tickets and others.
