AutoGate
Automatic Gate Machine
The Automatic Gate Machine (AGM) is being installed between the unpaid/free and paid areas at public transport stations. It is used to perform validation on tickets and shall permit or forbid the entry or exit of passengers from a station.
This AGM is able to accept tickets such as contactless smart card and token of type A, B and C of ISO14443 standard. In the case of a single journey ticket, the AGM will collect and store used ticket inside a stacker.
The ATM comes with two options of gate doors: single pair flap door or three arm turnstile. In order to prevent tailgating, sensors are placed along the passage path of the AGM.
The AGM is equipped with a LCD display to provide information on ticket validity, remaining value on ticket and other information depending on its application. A LED dot matrix display for directional display is placed at both ends of the gate.
As smart cards are presented to the target, Pradonet RFID reader/writer reads the card, calculates the required fare and deducts it from the stored value or stored rides of the card/token and re-encodes it with the new remaining value/fare. The customer display indicates if access is granted or denied and the flaps either open to permit access or remain closed. The AGM communicates with the central system via a dediated network to upload transactions and equipment status and download configuration data including software updates, fare tables, hotlists and Autoload lists.
